Project Approvals Boundary Layer
This information is created and submitted by each large mine operator to fulfill the Final Landuse and Rehabilitation Plan data submission requirements under Schedule 8A of the Mining Regulation 2016.
It outlines the spatial boundaries of all relevant project approvals associated with the mine. This data is provided after the project is approved under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and is only updated if additional approvals are secured.
The Resources Regulator in NSW manages the collection of this spatial data and conducts reviews for assessment purposes. If any inaccuracies are detected during the assessment, adjustments may be required, and the Regulator might ask for the data to be resubmitted.
